Robbie Williams

Robbie Williams is one of Britain’s most recognisable pop stars, known for his energetic performances, honest personality and memorable songs. Born Robert Peter Williams on 13 February 1974 in Stoke-on-Trent, England, he first became famous as a member of the popular boy band Take That. He left the group in 1995 and began his solo career the following year.

Williams released his debut solo album, Life thru a Lens, in 1997. The album included “Angels”, which became one of his most loved and enduring songs. He followed it with successful albums such as I've Been Expecting You, Sing When You're Winning, Swing When You're Winning and Escapology. His music combines pop, rock, swing and other styles, giving his career a distinctive character.

Over the years, Williams has earned numerous awards and achieved remarkable chart success. He has won a record 18 BRIT Awards and sold tens of millions of records worldwide. His famous Knebworth concerts in 2003 attracted more than 375,000 people.
